October 14, 2019 (Redmond, WA) – The B.E. Meyers & Co. MAWL®-X1high-power infrared aiming and illumination laser has been added to the United States Air Force Small Arms and Light Weapons Accessories list. It is now available to Combat Airmen organizations including Special Tactics, Combat Control Teams, Tactical Air Control Party, Combat Rescue, Special Reconnaissance, and Combat Weather Squadrons. 703 MAWL®-X1 units have been procured by the USAF, in addition tothose fielded by other DoD entities to date.
The MAWL®-X1 will be on exhibit at the 2019 AUSA Annual Meeting (B.E. Meyers & Co. booth #3825) on October 14-16, in Washington D.C.

September 30, 2019 (Redmond, WA) – B.E. Meyers & Co., Inc. is proud to announce that Mr. Eric Damon has joined the team as a Senior Business Development Manager in the Defense Systems segment, focused on US Navy and US Marine Corps customer requirements.
Mr. Damon served as an Infantry Officer in the United States Marine Corps, deploying twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Over the past decade, he has acquired extensive sales and business development experience working for companies in the defense and military market. Most recently Mr. Damon headed up tactical sales and business development efforts at Under Armour.

Inc. is proud to announce that the BOARS®-M2 optics and accessory rail system has been issued National Stock Number (NSN)1240-01-682-8650 by TACOM, US Army, following successful evaluation and testing through the US Army Soldier Enhancement Program (SEP).
A total of 4,752 complete BOARS®-M2 units have been procured for initial fielding by PM Soldier Weapons, PEO Soldier. Designed to support a variety of mounted machine gun optics for the M2 and M3 family of weapon systems, the BOARS®-M2 provides a modular, low-profile optics and accessory rail mount with true return-to-zero capability. The BOARS®-M2 is ideal for those wishing to easily transition from a day optic to a night optic while retaining boresight for both systems, and without interfering with the operation of the spade grips or the feed tray cover.

Meyers & Co., Inc. is proud to announce the addition of MAWL®-X1, a United States Department of Defense specific variant of the company’s highly successful MAWL® (Modular Advanced Weapon Laser) line of high-powered aiming and illumination laser systems for individual and crew-served weapons.
In 2017 B.E. Meyers & Co. submitted a Flat Dark Earth, Near-Infrared / Visible MAWL® featuring the EC2 threaded Endcap to the Soldier Enhancement Program (SEP) via the U.S. Army Maneuver Center of Excellence, known as the MAWL®-X1. Following submission, PdM-SPTD procured it for Limited User Evaluations, which were conducted by various Combat Arms including units within the 82nd Airborne Division, 173rd Airborne Brigade, and the 2nd Infantry Division, among others.

The term Photonic Barrier was coined in modern night vision tactical training by John “Chappy” Chapman of LMS Defense.
